The UK's Leading Clinical Hypnotherapist
Proudly Serving London and Customers throughout the UK
The client agrees to have arrived at a sense of personal commitment to freeing yourself of the problem with which you consult.
Most people experiencing hypnosis for the ‘first time’ say “It didn’t work for me – I never went under”. So you must accept that hypnosis will not be perhaps as you expect it to be. The client must agree to have the desire to make the change themselves and accepts that while the hypnotherapist will act merely as a guide or spiritual influence, it is the client who goes into hypnosis and the client to allow the change to take place. The client will be more aware during hypnosis then when in a normal waking state.
The client will be able to resist any change he or she does not agree with or wish to make. The client is in full control at all times and can walk out of the session at any time if he or she does not agree with how the session is progressing. The hypnotherapist is there merely to help and assist in using tools which can empower the client to make the changes he or she desires, it is the client who has the abilities and the new models to move forward in their lives into more positive places and directions. When embarking on analysis it is important to be totally honest and clear and to speak what enters the mind in an instant, to capture the moment in a nutshell. The client must not expect immediate results during the therapy.
During the analysis, I may continually ask you to relate what comes into your thoughts and the only rules of analysis are:
1) No thought is too trivial.
2) No thought is irrelevant and consequently
3) No thought is ‘shameful’ and consequently to
4) No secrets are to be sustained.
Should you abide by these rules and disclose whatever comes into your thoughts at the times I ask you, and provided you attend approximately at weekly intervals, then it is almost inevitable that we will succeed in achieving the outcomes that you desire. At that point, no further treatment is necessary and your existing psychosomatic disorder shall cease to occur. Never to re-occur in the future again as hypnotherapy treats the root cause and not the symptoms. Hypnotherapy does not use any drugs or prescribe any medications.
During the time you are in analysis it should be a matter of indifference to both of us whether you feel any better, or indeed, any worse, it is the end result we seek.
